FEB 26 – Class Plan and Homework

CLASS PLAN February 26

  1. New Technique:  Build flag page with vellum paper (as a group).
    1. Cut vellum journal height (or narrower), by 8 inches wide.
    2. Skor seven times at one inch intervals, at 2″, 3″, 4″ …
    3. Fold back and forth to make an accordion fold.
    4. Place 1/2 inch or two x 1/4 inch skor tape on each end fold.
    5. Lay and paper clip into place before removing skor tape liner.
    6. Affix.
  2. New Technique:  Create shaker box.
    1. Tacky glue 5 frames together, aligning top carefully.
    2. Black Gesso or paint outside edges, if desired. Heat set/dry.
    3. Affix transparency sheet with Skor tape to frame stack.
    4. UHU Glue 5×6″ card stock to cereal box or chip board.
    5. Die cut another frame from above cardstock/cereal box.
    6. Affix to frame/shaker box stack with Skor tape.
    7. Add shaker box to journal page with goodies inside using 1/2″ skor tape & enjoy!
  3. New Technique:  Create “pick-a-boo” spread using “mover & shaper” die cut.
  4. New Technique:  Use “on-the-edge” die cuts for “quarter, third and half pages.
  5. New To Do:  Use Prima sprayed cardstock for corner, border & flourish die cuts.
  6. Product Sampling:  On ATC size cardstock, use Distress Collage Mediums — vintage, matte, crazing.
  7. Product Sampling:  On ATC size cardstock, try edging & painting with ArtAlchemy Acrylic Paints.
  8. Individual help with journal design.
  9. Also To Do:  Use Cherri’s alphabets, hole drill press & deckle edge paper cutter.
  10. Use a technique or a couple items from home you haven’t used in a while.
  11. Stop at 3p so you can shop with your 10% class discount.

 

HOMEWORK between Feb 26 and Mar 12

  1. Continue working on Journal design.
  2. Create more journal pages.
  3. Collect ideas for next alphabet letters.
  4. Find two more unused/seldom used items from home to include in your journal.
